The boat motors over two shipwrecks and a statue of Christ of the Seas, erected under the waves to protect local fishermen. Glass panels in the hull afford a good view, when the water is clear, both of the wrecks and of the fish which swarm around them. Departures are at 10, 11.30. 3 and 7pm ( with a €5 surcharge) . Prices are €30 for an adult and €15 for a child under 13. A similar 2 hour trip from Sal Rei in Boa Vista costs €35. For two hours with a guide the price is €200. For a mere 15 minute trial, you pay only €30. In winter it is sometimes too rough to use these fragile craft.
