The gated rental villa resort has its own 35-metre swimming pool, childrens' pool, playground, tennis court, restaurant, shop and bar. Most rental villas overlook the ocean,just far enough away to escape spray. Because many Cape Verde rental villa owners come only a couple of times a year, it is never crowded. Rental villas are spacious and designed for easy living, with large balconies and open-air barbecue and sun-lounger areas, with small gardens. The Murdeira rental villa area is ideal for swimming in the warm pool, or snorkeling from empty beaches. Windsurfing and surfig are located just up the Coast.. There is a wonderful oceanfront restaurant within 100m and a small-stocked shop. Within easy reach by free bus service are shops, hotels and restaurants of Santa Maria. You do not need to cook as Full Board is available at £125 per week.

"We had a lovely time in Sal, the accommodation was fantastic - I am glad we took your accommodation with the self catering option rather than the one bed place. We had a few BBQ's and George bought round a south African sausage for us to BBQ! George was great - very friendly and welcoming. The holiday was really different - as you said it the literature. It reminded us of a island off the west coast of Scotland but with fantastic weather!!! Bleak landscape but a small and very friendly community! We loved the minibus thing - great value and we found that if you stood by the roundabout we were often picked up for free as hitch hikers! Buses on Sundays seemed a little less frequent but we managed to get buses back until,about 10.00pm and still did not have to wait long."

"Well, back at work and dreaming of sun, sand and sea: we had a really great time - everything certainly met and exceeded our expectations! the villa was delightful - a real home from home - and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. I did mention on the phone that we had to make up our own beds but that wasn't a hardship at all! Apart from that, everything was absolutely spot on! it was really hot at night so we shared the fan! in fact, the weather was superb! and the swimming was wonderful on the beach at Santa Maria - where we also took lunch at the Beach Club. We found a divine Italian restaurant called Leonardo's in the town - best Italian meal I've eaten for a long long time - and we used the same taxi driver that picked us up at the airport for the whole week. His name was Zucca and he was a real charming boy - and using my Spanish and French we managed to chat away during the journeys, much to my son's amazement - I gained a lot of brownie points on that one!

Thank you so much for allowing us to return to the villa on Thursday - we so appreciated that gesture. Most of the package people had been advised of the delay and given 15 euros for lunch at their hotels but obviously flight only people knew nothing till we arrived 2 hours before expected flight! We finally flew out from Sal at 10.30 p.m.!!! 7 hours late! what a nightmare - I slept all the way home as there was a spare row on the plane so I settled down straight away - I missed free drinks, food, films etc. - but woke refreshed half an hour away from Gatwick! where it was -1C. What a shock to the system.
We will certainly be recommending the villa to all our friends so hopefully you'll get a couple of extra bookings!! we are now converts to the Cape Verde lifestyle - and very envious of your lovely home in the sun!!Many thanks once again, Claire.With kind regards from us all!!"

"Juste quelques mots pour vous dire que nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à Sal et que ces vacances resteront pour nous un excellent souvenir. La maison est très agréable à vivre, confortable, bien équipée et bien située à proximité de l'océan. Je ne peux que la recommander à qui souhaiterait la louer. Ca a été également un plaisir pour nous de faire votre connaissance et de pouvoir parler quelques instants avec vous. Les explications que vous nous aviez transmises avant notre départ nous ont été très utiles et nous ont permis de bien préparer nos vacances. Enfin, il est presque sûr que nous retournerons un jour au Cap Vert (pour visiter d'autres îles par exemple) compte tenu de ce que nous avons vécu en février. "

"We had a lovely time, the Villa is in a great location, very quiet. We were a bit apprehensive about the Island at first but within two days we loved it. hired a car for two days but after one day we returned it as we had seen all of the Island 2 or 3 times by then, Ha Ha. Everyone was very friendly and it will be a place we frequently return to. Hope you enjoyed your time there also hope the cold beer's went down well when you arrived. We did have a five hour delay at Gatwick but it was worth the wait."

"Brilliant villa, great furnishings and appliances. Home from home. Could have stayed another week, possibly two. The fishing was exceptional and the sun hardly ever stopped shining. The wind is very welcome. I burn after 1/4 hr in the sun so had to wear a shirt most of the time but this is the best tan that I have ever had. We had all sorts of presents for the cleaner as she was so thorough "

"We had a wonderful time, the villa was very well equipped, comfortable and spotless, Birgit was absolutely wonderful and had put butter, jam and water in the fridge for our arrival. The maid came midweek and cleaned the house very thorougly. We loved Cape Verde although had the initial reaction that everyone else has, we loved the beaches, walks and tranquility - everyone has been telling me that I am glowing since I got back. The snorkelling was also excellent, we spent hours looking at the marine life which was the best we had seen anywhere. . There was air con in all 3 bedrooms and an electric fan Cable Tv was a bit sporadic but some nights we got a really good film channel. Birgit offered to wash our clothes! We handwashed them, it wasn't a problem but you don't get much better service than that.. There was a coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave

Thats about all, I have to say that your service was second to none and the information that you provided for us was invaluable, you don't get that at Thomas Cook! "Just wanted to get back to you and say that we had a wonderful holiday in cape verde and that the villa is lovely plenty space, very clean and the different balconies and areas to sit outside and sunbathe read etc were great. The place is very different and not over flowing with tourists and we were able to hire a car and get around and see things for ourselves. Brigit was lovely and we enjoyed a chat at the pool bar with her one evening and she popped in and out a couple of times. It was more fun than a hotel but the hotel was a superb one and was a bit of pampering after self catering more in the villa. We used the grill outside a lot outside and have been converted to buy one! Thanks again for last minute arrangements think we would like to go again and take in afew more islands too so may be in touch again, ps.weather and water brilliant! "

" Anyway, we wanted to thank you very much for letting us stay at your nice, cosy and conveniant home at the beautiful and sunny island. Also thanks for letting us use the spices, the left over water, etc. What we took, we bought new and let it in the kitchen (mostly water, wine, ....) We enjoyed a relaxing week, in which we did nothing much, but sleep, read and eat. The last two days we finally decided to leave the property and go to Santa Maria, where we returned the day of our leaving on Sunday, to have dinner. It was very pittoresque and still authentic, despite the many tourists and foreigners.
