Cape Verde Flights from the Canary IslandsFlights Las Palmas to Praia and SalThere are flights from Las Palmas in the Canaries to Santiago, on Mondays and Thursdays just after midnight but this is an expensive route unless you live in the Canaries. TACV the Cape Verde airline has a monopoly on this route and you run a risk of being stranded. There is also a flight on Wednesdays to Sal departing at 115. The ordeal of R from Canaries "Our flight back with TACV in July was unbelievable..We arrived at the airport to be told that we couldn`t get the flight because they had enough people on it already...' but I have tickets'......that didnt seem to matter at all ...nor to the 8 other people who had tickets as well . We were all kicked off and told that the next flight was Tuesday and after that there was nothing till November. They had obviously overbooked ...I saw a Lisbon flight due to leave an hour later so we went to TAP office and managed to get on it...with a connection to Madrid. At least we were on the mainland with more chance of getting home. Of course this flight was delayed and we missed our Madrid connection...the staff at TAP were so ignorant and unhelpful too. Eventually we got to Madrid...and got a friend of mine at Spanair to get us on the flight to Lanzarote at 4.15pm...business class...we were knackered. I got back here (Canaries) at 6.30pm" |
